A parent is asking on behalf of a child, which changes the question. Assistants get asked about cost, payment plans, convenience and duration far more than about clinical technique, and the practices that answer those questions in public are the ones that get named.

Parent-led pediatric questions and adult aligner questions produce different answers from the same engine. Most practices are visible in neither; a few are visible in one and assume they are visible in both.

A national or regional group with a large content footprint is more likely to be recognized as an entity. A single-location practice competes on specificity and local corroboration instead, which is winnable, but only deliberately.

Consistent name, address, provider identity and treatment scope across your site, your Google Business Profile, and the directories assistants actually read. An engine cannot recommend a practice it cannot resolve to one thing.

Cost ranges, payment plans, treatment duration, insurance, and the aligner-versus-braces comparison, published, structured, and specific to your market rather than generic.

The limits
What we will not claim.
Every agency in this category promises citations. We would rather be specific about what is not available, because you will find out either way.
- We cannot guarantee that any engine will recommend you. Nobody can, and any agency that says otherwise is describing a mechanism that does not exist.
- We do not control model training data or retrieval. We influence what the models can find, verify and corroborate about you.
- Results move over months, not days, and they move unevenly across engines. We will show you the unevenness rather than average it away.
- If the baseline improves and consult-to-start conversion does not, we will tell you, because the second number is the one your practice runs on.

Is this just SEO with a new name?
Some of the underlying work overlaps: entity consistency, structured content and corroboration help both. The difference is what gets measured. Traditional SEO reports rankings and traffic. This reports whether you were named in a generated answer, in which engines, and next to whom. If an agency sells you AI search and reports traffic, you are buying SEO with a new label.
Do parents actually use AI assistants to find an orthodontist?
Some do and the share is growing, but we are not going to hand you a percentage, the credible public data on healthcare-specific assistant use does not exist yet, and every number circulating traces back to somebody selling the service. The honest argument is different: measurement is cheap, the baseline compounds, and being early costs very little while being late is expensive.
